John Duffy

Mr. Duffy is a resident of New York City and has been with Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., an investment bank, for 37 years. He was appointed to the position of Vice Chairman in October 2011, after having served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since September 2001. He is also President of KBW Capital Partners and serves on the Board of the KBW Family Fund. Prior to that, he was President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the KBW Family Fund, a position he assumed in July 1999. From 1990 to 1999, John was Executive Vice President and Director of Investment Banking. 

Prior to joining KBW in 1978 as manager of the company's BankWatch division, John was the Vice President in charge of ratings for depository institutions in the corporate ratings department of Standard & Poor's Corporation. 

John is also Chairman of JBJ Holdings, a food distribution company based in California and he serves on the Board of Trustees of Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, New York, and is President of the school's Cardinal & Gold Fund. He also serves on the Board of Social Entrepreneurs Inc. in Dublin, Ireland, and the Adam J. Lewis Pre-school Board in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is a Trustee of the American Ireland Fund and serves on the Advisory Council of the Weissman Center for International Business at Baruch College. John has also been a Trustee of Saint Michael's College in Vermont (2002–2011), The Ursuline School in New Rochelle, New York (1998-2004, 2006–2012), and served on the U.S. Advisory Board for the University College, Dublin Graduate School of Business (2000–2013).

In 1971, he received his B.A. in Economics from The City College of New York and attended the Bernard Baruch Graduate Program of the City University of New York.
